Hello Nebraska PBL! I am Katie Weander, your Vice President of Communications. I am a senior marketing major at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln minoring in computer science as a student in the Raikes School. FBLA-PBL has been a priority in my life since my freshman year at Elkhorn High School where I first experienced the benefits of networking, volunteering, and the thrill of leadership conferences. Embracing the opportunity to strengthen the bond between Nebraska FBLA and PBL, I was honored to “Break Barriers” as your State Ambassador of FBLA last year.
Besides leading as a State Officer, I will serve as this year's Marketing Coordinator for UNL PBL. I volunteer with City Impact and my college youth group; love country music--my cowboy boots and swing dancing; enjoy traveling, working out, being in nature, and of course, Husker football games!
As a State Officer I strive to strengthen the communications among our organization. I seek to improve communications between local chapters, between the state officer team and local members, and among the state officer team itself as we power Nebraska PBL to its optimum success! The FBLA-PBL organization encompasses so many talents and experiences, and together we can embrace the benefits each FBLA, PBL, and Professional Division member brings. I am honored to represent Nebraska PBL and cannot wait to network with you as we enter this "Gateway to Greatness!”
